F.A.Q. Topic Links *READ FIRST*
In an effort to make the use of this forum, and the lives of those who moderate and run it, a little easier, I have compiled a list of links to specific discussion threads, and important information announcements, designed to be sort of a F.A.Q. thread that can actually work in this environment.
While most information sites have a Frequently Asked Questions heading, designed to both help people find the most commonly needed answers, and reduce the need to answer the same basic questions over and over, the traditional F.A.Q. just will not work here due to the vast diversity of sub topics. Even with the use of "stickys" in every sub forum, the lack of a user friendly search feature, results in the same questions being asked, and answered, over and over. Along with the incredible amount of growth this site has undergone, the chance that half truths and outright bad information being given and not being caught by Staff, has increased exponentially. This thread is the best way I could think of to combat this growing problem. Hopefully, this can be stickied as it's own F.A.Q. sub forum.
To start, I will divide this F.A.Q. into two(2) distinct sections- Important Site Links, and Commonly Discussed Topics, with forum specific links.
*As always, if you think you know of a better link, or a better way to arrange this, or anything else I might have missed, please PM me so I can review it for inclusion*

Re: F.A.Q. Topic Links *READ FIRST*
OK, I think I pretty much have it done.
Again, I am sure there are plenty of threads that other people are constantly directing people to, when they post a thread asking something you have answered a million times. If you think it should be here, PM me or post it, and I will try to see that it gets linked.
I would suggest that this get posted as it's own forum, like the Rules forum, so that people can always see it right in their face when they view the index.

Re: F.A.Q. Topic Links *READ FIRST*
I don't know if that would help more than the very first time, for just people who have registered.
I also think that leaving it stickied in the S&S forum will kind of defeat the purpose. I mean almost every one of these links is a sticky, but no one ever looks. It was actually someone posting a new thread about a rep question, right under the rep sticky, that finally made me sit down and put this together...

Re: F.A.Q. Topic Links *READ FIRST*
I was thinking about it last night... do you guys think it would be better to put this in a format where I post each link in a separate post, along with a relative question? I think that would make it way more effective for someone to use the "search this thread" function, which, if I post instructions on how to do, and spend a little more time getting a more complete list of topic links, could be a pretty good general search tool as well...
Would that work better, or is it just the vicodin talking?
Input?
