Non-resident from E. Ohio--references?

Hello all,
I just joined and like the information to be found here. I am from Eastern Ohio (near the state line) and have a CCW permit for Ohio. I am interested in obtaining a PA permit.

Lawrence County (PA) is the closest for me, but I seem to be getting the 'run-around' from the people answering the phone, basically getting inconsistent/conflicting information.

One big question is the reference part on the application. They told me it has to be 2 Lawrence County residents, another person said it has to be 2 PA residents. Which, if either, is it? I don't know anyone from Lawrence County. I have family from PA, but the application states 'Not family' for the references.

Also, I've seen on here that Centre County seems to be good about "shall issue", but most of the posts are older ones. Is this still a good place to go?

To any other non-residents (especially from Ohio), I would appreciate any information.

Call Centre County's sheriff's office, they will tell you all you need to know...

Yep, Centre Co. IS the place to get a non res LTCF. All done by mail and apparently quickly.

Centre Co. definetly for a non resident LTCF. Sheriff Nau is one of the most gun friendly. He has no problems signing off for LTCF's, suppressors, or any other NFA firearms.
