Re: My Oath
No i was not high when I chose 11B. I actually did very well on the ASVAB and could have picked anything I wanted including Military Intelligence. I am going to go to OCS asap. If I do not like Infinity I can change after I complete OCS. Basically I saw it as if I wanted a desk job I would have gotten a civilian job.

Re: My Oath
What branch? The National Guard is going though some odd times and I am glad I got my paper work done when I did. If you are looking at the Guard let me know and I will let you know what I know.
And I think no one can really know how they will react in a situation like that. Just like how one dose knows how they will react if faced with a defensive shot situation. I am just going to hope for the best and know in the back of mine mind I am pretty much screwed ether way if it comes down to that. Court Marshal for not following the orders where if found guilty I could face some saver punishments. Or Tried for carrying out the orders as the excuse "I was just following orders" dose not cut it.
P.S. now i have to brake the news to my mom that I enlisted. Any suggestions? We have talked about it but she was so against the idea she broke down started screaming and crying in the middle of a crowded restaurant. I was thinking just showing up in my uniform and be like well its done and to late now.

Re: My Oath
i'm going guard also. i could not shoot an american because my muslim pres says to and i refuse to violate the very document that i swear to protect. if i am shot, hung or imprisioned for refusing to follow that order than so be it. as for telling your mom, i got nothing because my entire family has been on me to join since i was 17 except my grandfather want me to join air guard or af/afr but those guys are a little smarter than me. i'd rather stop a bullet than feel like an idiot trying to learn something that won't register in my mind which is why i got my ged in 10th grade, busting concrete was much easier to me than learning algebra or the like.
