Yeah its amazing that ANYONE would not know about not shooting the steel with high power rifles. After my rant on this site about it. After it was mentioned about a dozen times last shoot, and a dozen times this shoot. Not only did someone feel there "fun" was more important than our safety, they also felt it was more important than the hours and large amount of dollars that 27hand put into making those targets. And since ignorance could not be the problem they did it on purpose, which means they also dont respect basic safety of others. Which means they might be the type of person that doesn't need to own guns until they see the "accidents" caused by firearms.

Thats assuming that the "shooter" was really a member here. I have no doubt that there was more than one person that heard from a friend of a friend that they could just "show up" and shoot having never even heard of the forum, let alone read this thread or any other thread.

Is that a reason to shoot somone elses steel w/ highpower? no..

But it may be a reason to require more than just signing your name to the sheet to be able to participate.

I suggested I "heart" Emptymag tramp stamps for anyone wishing to participate, but when it was pointed out that I'd have to "ID" a bunch of guys plumber's cracks, I withdrew my suggestion.

Byker and that crew kind of suggested that they were done until Spring.

Two shoots two months in a row from the Philly area, yes, I wish I lived closer I'd make 'em all.

Shoot 7 had me so excited I got a $137.50, 3 point, speeding ticket on the way and until this morning when I wrote out the check I wasn't pissed about it. I do have to be more careful, I drive for a living, can't lose my license.

JeannieBmine had a blast as well at Shoot 7, she's real new to guns was pretty nervous around them. She's a bit more at ease now, thanks in large part to Frenchy's class.

We will be sitting the next few out. Need to get caught up on some bills.

If this isn't a multi-day course. I would make the drive out and attend an RSO Class myself. Now I drive a long way to attend the shoot. But I would at least be willing to give up half the day to act as an RO giving someone else a chance to shoot. If you set up a class like this. let me know.

I am a certified Firearms Instructor for the Dept of Corrections. I am NRA Certified. Is this the same thing or would the RSO Class you give be different?

If I have to take another class. I would be willing to do my part and take it to help out.

It's the NRA Range Safety Officer class. I'll talk to Bill Chessman and see if he's going to be offering the class anytime soon.

That was Group Shoot #7 that you just attended.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that I think everyone enjoyed meeting both of you in person... I know I did.

It was really great meeting all of you guys that I wouldn't otherwise have a chance to. I only wish there was more time to talk, I know there were a few people I never even spoke to. Thanks again for coming!
