Default Assessing website by hexadecimal numbers... tech question

    Is it possible?

I know how to access a webpage via decimals.

    for example pafoa.com is 208.92.217.243

in hex it is D0.5C.D9.F3, but after I add http:// it does not bring up the page.
Have I been mislead and there is no way to access a site through hex numbers?? Or am I missing something?

IPv6 is hex, I don't think it works for IPV4 addresses.

interesting..I never seen it done or thought about doing it, but why would you want to browse to a site via hex instead of a domain name or IP?

I'm not implying this is the OP intentions, but click here for an interesting read.

I kinda figured it was for some sort of secure URL or something possibly a programmer would use.

Yeah I guess it would be a good idea to explain why I want to know. I want to see how good my friend's porn filter really is. I thought this would be one of the many ways I would try.
