Obama fires Patrick Fitzgerald in Chicago
I just heard that Obama has removed Patrick Fitzgerald from the Tony Rezko investigation. Looking for a link to the story I just heard on the radio.
Looks like Fitzgerald was getting too close to someone in the White House.

Re: Obama fires Patrick Fitzgerald in Chicago
This article in the Denver Post (from yesterday) says:
Some Bush administration U.S. attorneys, such as Patrick Fitzgerald in the Northern District of Illinois, have been asked by President Barack Obama to stay on. Fitzgerald is prosecuting former Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

This'd be pretty interesting if we get confirmation.
Drudge has absolutely nothing right now.

Re: Obama fires Patrick Fitzgerald in Chicago
Still nothing on this one.
The only things I was able to come up with had to do with Karl Rove and friends of Tony Rezko trying to have Fitzgerald fired, and those date back to 2008. It was all leftwing blog stuff and none of it was true.
Newsmax had a speculative opinion piece, though. Nothing factual.
Normally Drudge would scoop everyone on this, followed by Fox. There's been nothing so far. Probably isn't going to happen. This might have been mis-heard. AM reception leaves a lot to be desired at times.
