    Default FFL Needed for transfer

I need to find an FFL to do a private transfer of a handgun. I called Gun Traders on 61 in reading and the price he quoted me was 49.70. No way in hell is that gonna fly with the guy transferring the gun (its a gift, he's paying the transfer fee). Anyone know an FFL in berks that won't charge an arm and a leg just to do a simple transfer?

its kinda of a drive from reading but I only deal with blue mountian gun works here in bethel, its getting close to the lebanon county line. he only charges 25 for a transfer. I just like dealing with him since its a hobby shop, he has a full time job doring the week and opens the shop tues thurs at night and sat hes one of the few people that I can trust when it comes to guns. Troy has never lead me wrong and helped me a lot when I started to reload.

+1 for Rob over at Firearm Solutions. As stated above, he charges $25 and is very easily accessed via the 422, 724 or 176. Cabela's is also $25 if that would be closer.

Is he a gunsmith, or does he have a retail store (or both)? Just wondering because that's very close to me.

Rob is a gunsmith who operates out of an office attached to a home. I wouldn't call it a "retail store," but I'm sure that Rob could get you something if you needed it. I recently utilized him for a FFL transfer where I had purchased the gun online. He was absolutely fantastic to deal with! You can't go wrong dealing with Rob at Firearm Solutions.
