I had this sent to me by a respected member here about a year ago. I did this to my .40VE and the difference was like night and day. After about fifty rounds it smoothed out a little more and is great. I even had a couple of dedicated sigma haters, who got rid of theirs, try it and state that they would have kept the gun if they had done this.

I have done this and it worked well for me, having zero gunsmithing knowledge beyond field stripping an M-16 and field stripping my Sigma, but do this at your own risk.

Remove the pigtail spring and discard. In the diagram, the spring circled in red should be removed, taking note of how it sits. Remove the outer spring and discard, then replace the inner spring. Replace the assembly, then reassemble the gun, and dry fire. If it goes click you did it right

I typically leave the outer spring out and keep the inner spring in.

There is also a slight casting mark in the plastic housing that can be filed out for a bit smoother operation.

I've always wanted to try a 4lb Glock striker spring in those, but never had the chance.

Go Wolff www.gunsprings.com and buy a spring kit for a Sigma, about $9 , i did and it made the Sigma one smooth and light triggered puppy, but i changed back after i had one ftf caused by a light strike.

I dont carry the gun for self defense so it shouldnt really matters.

yeah the striker spring is the Culprit in the Sigmas.

I sent this link to my friend that has a SW40VE....hmm maybe I will consider picking up a SW9VE after reading this. I like shooting his gun but didn't like the trigger so much.

Looking at the document you linked - if you followed it you removed the outer spring.

I just had to remove the sear assembly again to check, lol. I did indeed discard the outer spring... And I will edit my post
