Where to Start?
I'm thinking about starting to reload some ammo(probally .308) but I am not sure where to start. What all would I need to purchase, How much would it cost, what is the best stuff to buy, whats the price difference between reloading and buying ammo ect.....The normal questions. Anyone have any advice for me? Thanks!!!

Re: Where to Start?
Get some manuals and read up on it. Speer, Hornady, Lyman, Hodgdon all have good reloading manuals, I have those four plus a few others. They explain everything you need to know and have recipes for loads. I started with a RCBS Rock Chucker kit, Midway USA has the kit for about 290 bucks. It has everything you need except the dies and shell holders for the caliber your loading. I would also buy and electric Lyman case trimmer and a good set of micrometers. Without them you are pretty much flying blind. A case tumbler or vibrator may be something else you want, to clean the brass. Total cost to start may be around 500 bucks, but you are starting with reliable good equipment and that is what counts. Don't take short cuts reloading. The initial investment may sound high, but it is well worth it in the long run. I load about 18 or so different calibers on mine and it has never let me down.

Re: Where to Start?
Find someone that reloads and do a vulcan mind meld.
Or... start reading, and reading, and reading...
Good luck. Do it. You will be glad you reload for all the reasons known!
