OC Baby Steps
Well, I have taken up carrying all the time now that I telecommute and can work from the comfort of my home. So from a comfort standpoint the 3" 1911 has been in a RSR Defense retention holster. I normally "cover up" when anyone other than friend or family is over.
Today I had an internet outage and had to call Comcast for Business Class support (they were great, BTW). I didn't feel like covering so I figured I'd see how it went. I ended up with 4 trucks onsite and 4 techs and not one word was said by any of them. My part-time neighbor who is from MD did comment to me but he's seen me carry before ... he was just surprised to see it in the open. All in all non eventful, which is how it should be!
Once I get some additional training I may even consider OC outside the homestead!

Re: OC Baby Steps
paopencarry.org has a flier that you can print out, and hand to people that argue with you about OC in Pa.
I handed one out to a co-worker yesterday. He read it, and merely said thank you. So I guess I got the point across to another mis-informed soul.

Re: OC Baby Steps
Thanks for the reinforcement!
I've got a few of the fliers printed out and stashed in my truck. I don't currently OC away from home but I don't deep conceal either, so the fliers are in case I get into a conversation after printing. (or if the PAFOA and NRA clothing strike up a conversation) Once I get a bit more formal training I may take up OC more often.
