I recently went to the york courthouse and got my LTCF for the purpose of cc a firearm. iv been a long time hunter since i was a child and both my chirldren son and daughter love to shoot firearms. they have been educated and instructed in thier use since they were five and i have faith in thier ability to handle guns.

They show more respect and conduct themselves better than some adults that i have shot with in the past. i am a strong believer in the 2nd and also in open carry. if it were not for my job i would open carry myself. so anyway enough background on myself here is what happened tonight.

A month ago i purchased an XDM-40 at Bass Pro. i love the gun and it shoots great but its a little big for CC. well tonight was customer apreciation night and i needed a few things so i went up again to Bass Pro. one thing i was looking for was a gun safe which i purchased and also looked at pistols. well i ended up buying a taurus PT140 for my CC purposes. while Browsing i was talking to the counter guy Mike.I mentioned that i was starting to CC but wish i could open carry my XDM. startled he said" buts thats illegal".

Immediately i started laughing and thinking of some of the same posts i had read on this site. so i started explaining how open carry was perfectly legal and there was no such thing as a CC permit. then i asked him if he knew the srore policy on open carry. he stated he has never seen open carry in the store and if anyone tryed they would have to install trigger locks on thier weapons before entering the store. now if i remember correctly i have seen where several members have said they open carry in Bass Pro all the time.

so either he is totally unattentive and doesnt notice things or maybe management is trying to discourage open carry? just thought this was something to post as it was educational to myself. earlier he told me to educate myself on different holsters before i bought one. The last thing i told him as i was leaving the store was go to PAFOA.com and educate himself on the gun laws of this state lol
While I love the enthusiasm, it is PAFOA.ORG...ORG, not .com

    Next,
The guy was right on the money with their policy:
