Default Who makes a good tent?

I'm looking to go with a few friends to cooks forest and I'm in need of a 4 person tent. Its only sleeping two but I like roomy, lol. Does anyone have any suggestions about quality brands or things to avoid? I want something easy and quick to set up and also quality for a reasonable price (100-200). I was thinking of checking out Dicks or maybe REI. Online is also a possibility if you have some recommendations.

On a side note the only regulations on carry are on national parks not state right? I'm a little gray on that lol and just wanted to make sure.

    Thanks for any help.

Concealed carry is okay in a state park. However, is Cook's Forest a state park or a state forest and does it make a difference.

Good tents? What sort of price range?

I have a nice Coleman tent. It maybe cost $60, I think, about ten years ago.

Anything sold by REI would be good, maybe even great, but pricey.

A couple big things to look for. A good rainfly. Rainflies that don't come almost to the ground are nearly useless. A rainfly that zips up to form a vestabule in bad weather is priceless.

Click on the picture to see what it looks like with the rainfly. Now, that's a tent.

Wow you must be pretty quick at it by now. I haven't pictched one in what seems like forever. Do you have any tips?..... Is there plenty of head room? Is it damp inside the tent when your wake up?

I take mother-nature to the extreme and love every minute of it.I have four tents. My best one is a North Face mountain hut. The very best tent for the buck, weather proof, wind worthy and water proof hands down is the four man Eureka Timberline. North Face tents are darn expensive and are for the extremist. The Eureka tents aren't quite as extreme but are mighty fine for the price.
Very important to me,I like a veiw even if it's raining,I like to see out while staying warm and dry. This Timberline tent is great and not too expensive.
Go WWW.Campmor.com,they have many quality tents there.

make sure you check out http://www.rei.com/outlet/category/22000022 before you buy, you can often get 40%+ off the retail by buying last years model or an overstock model.
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

E Z setup, Eurika Timberline 4 made in Binghampton, NY...

I used to solo the 2 man version backpacking. It is a rigid frame [shockcoded alum] w/ the fly clipping onto the interior and guyed out to add room and ventalation. You can stand up in the center of the 4. Handles rain well, good value tent.
