There is a local fund raiser to help the Family of a little boy with Cancer.

Fund Raiser

The friends of the Tanner Yingling family are asking for your support in a community fundraiser designed to help Tanner and his family.

Tanner has been recently diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and serious form of childhood cancer. Tanner will be undergoing treatment at Johns Hopkins University. His family and friends are praying for a cure.




Tanner’s family has a very high medical insurance deductible. Additionally, his mother will have to resign her job in order to stay home and care for him while he is undergoing treatment. These two concerns place a financial burden on the family in an already incredibly stressful situation.

We are holding a spaghetti dinner on Saturday May 23, 2009 at the Harney Volunteer Fire Company, where Tanner’s father and many other relatives are volunteer firefighters. The cost of the tickets are 10 dollars each. You can either purchase the in advance or the day of. We are planning to have all items donated, in order that ALL the proceeds may benefit Tanner. A special bank account has been established for this purpose and for any other fundraisers. Please consider helping this 3 year old boy!
