My first open carry

I open carried today for the first time, but it was by accident. I have nothing against OC, I just prefer to CC for now (I've been working up the nerve to OC sometime). When I left the house this morning, I was wearing my G26 in a Fobus paddle holster (dislike it, and will be replaced with a Serpa soon). This is my only OWB holster, and the rivets on it scratch my skin a little bit, so I put my t-shirt behind it. I was CC though, because I had a sweatshirt on since it was chilly this morning.

When I left work, it was much warmer, so off came the sweatshirt. On my way home, I stopped at the beer distributor and went in without remembering that my gun was showing. No one gave me a weird look, screamed, or called the police. I doubt any of the people inside even noticed it. I may have to start OCing more often.

I think most people get a glimpse of something hanging from your hip and assume it's a cell phone or pda.... those are more common place. Only people who are scared out of their mind, or are carrying as well, notice it's a gun. IMHO
