Seems someone forgot a little bit of US law called Posse Comitatus .. and now the Army is trying to figure out who screwed up:

Why Troops Were Sent Into Alabama Town After Murder Spree?

To test the American people's reaction to troops wandering around where they are not supposed to be!

Trust me. They got more. Much much more

But I too am very interested in this story. Somebody obviously requested and somebody obviously approved the deployment. The whole thing just does not make sense.

I doubt it. Americans are not that stupid and understand who those guys in uniform are. They remember them during the LA riots and after 911. Like I posted above, the question is who ordered them to move.

Something new every week. Yeah, we are all conspiracy theory, tin foil hat wearers.. some people are going to try to rationalize right up until they are carted off to the re-education camps.....

Does it count as re-education if it didn't take the first time around?

"The government is the only one that can solve this problem."(or words very similar to it)
-President Obama, in reference to the economy.

Get used to those words being used for ALL sorts of "problems".

Sometimes quoted without the "intelligence" and sometimes substituting "taste" for intelligence, but the principle remains true.

Besides, with tens of thousands of pages of laws in the statutes, is anybody really going to know what any specific statute really says? No. Posse Comitatus has been modified within the past decade, and it doesn't necessarily still mean what it used to mean.

Since we don't have rule of law anymore* the basic law is, anybody can do anything they can get away with. Including the Army, and the rest of the Federal government.

    * if the law, especially the constitution, can be "interpreted" to mean things that appear to mean something quite different from the words that are actually written, we can't really say we have rule of law. We are substituting the judgment of individuals and institutions for rule of law, and that's a whole 'nother subject that merits its own thread.

since when does the law matter?
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.
