Re: Resign or consider suicide?? WTF ??
This whole "class envy" thing has been taken to an extreme I never thought we'd reach.
When politicians micromanage the economy, stuff happens. Bad stuff. The next step is to go into full-blown CYA mode with a hearty helping of class warfare and shoddy Econ 101 lessons.
Egads.

Re: Resign or consider suicide?? WTF ??
Idiot, just a complete idiot.
I wonder... if AIG Execs should commit sucidie for their failure, will every member of congress that voted YES to the Stimulus bill commit sucidie if it fails?
AIG is honoring CONTRACTS that they entered into legally. To not do so would result in lawsuits amid breech of contract issues. Congress is giving away hundreds of billions a week. Who is worse? The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

It's disgusting that a politician would make this comment. Disgusting anyone would, but a person in his position? Worse.

He misspoke I agree!! But I get his drift. They should be so embarrassed that their company failed they should do like the Japanese of old..
He overstated the history of Hari Kari!
But those AIG people should be embarrassed for taking that money(MY Money)NRA Training Counselor, Chief Range Safety Officer, NRA Benefactor Member

Re: Resign or consider suicide?? WTF ??
You beat me to it. They created this crisis, and they're busily making it worse. So when do THEY take a deep bow, apologize, and publicly disembowel themselves?
I don't even mind if they use stimulus money to buy themselves tantōs, and katanas for their seconds, or to hire Elizabeth Alexander to write them death poems that don't rhyme.

He spoke what most are afraid to speak. Screw AIG and any other firm that takes our money like that and then wastes it on bonuses for driving the company into needing bailout.
Some of you all have just joined the Politically Correct Club for condemning his words.

Isn't this the same company that was taking bailout money and still having seminars at resorts? I am all for accountability, But I also belive that some of our politicians shold follow that advice as well.
