First time OC
I go into my bank in Bryn Mawr and fill out a deposit ticket and get in line then talk to one of the financial people in the bank because I need a letter for my broker.
No one says anything.
I go to Kinko's to fax the letter to my broker and an older woman comes up to me and says "Am I seeing things or is that a gun?". She was very polite and I told her it is a gun and all she says is "Oh you usually don't see them out, are you a police officer?" I respond that I'm not and that OC is legal in Pa and she responds "I've heard that." That was it there.
I stop at the Wawa in Wayne and a worker asks me about it along with the cashier and we have a pleasant talk. Nothing negative at all."If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom ... go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels nor arms. May your chains set lightly upon you and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." Samuel Adams

Re: First time OC
Congrats, man. Just be glad you didn't run into that old lady at Old Country Buffet. That place seems to bring out "the mean" in people.

Re: First time OC
I OC all the time and I get "asked about it" only about once or twice a month. (summer, when I OC more)
Odd that some of you get asked two or more times per trip, no less your first trip...._________________________________________

Elmar,
Nice to have a fellow OC'er on the Main Line! I'm in that Wawa in Wayne all the time."...The gun at my side means that I cannot be forced, only persuaded...It doesn't limit the actions of those who would interact with me through reason, only the actions of those who would do so by force."

Re: First time OC
I've been carrying a 1911 on an owb don hume for +/- 5 years now, sometimes open sometimes a jacket or shirt covers some of it. I've had MAYBE 3 or 4 comments. I never inferred I was a cop, never told anyone they're face made me uncomfortable, never really had a problem. some of these stories(not directed at op) make me wonder....
