Collectibles Insurance Carry Gun EXCLUSION

Attention all Gun Policyholders using Collectibles Insurance Services, LLC:

If you read your gun insurance policy you will find this exclusion:

A.3.b. Covered Property does not include:
(2) Guns that are primarily used for self protection.

I decided to pursue the matter, initially with a phone call and later with a follow-up letter letter. After several days of information exchange, today I got official confirmation confirmation that all policies will be receiving an endorsement to cover personal carry firearms not used for a job/profession.

Watch for an endorsement in the mail and for language changes in new policies.

I wrote a final e-mail to Collectibles Insurance regarding my experience in dealing with them on this issue -

I must say that dealing with your company has been an unexpectedly pleasant experience.
I appreciate your proactive role in getting the policy clarified/changed and also compliment not only you but also your carrier for having an open-minded attitude while considering the issues raised.

Collectibles gets my return business with a big thumbs up.

I cover mine with a rider on one of my other policies (costs like $11 a year, and 3 of that is fees!), but that is not a bad piece of news!

Thanks for the info. Great news. The firearms I use for carry are most likely covered by the NRA basic policy. Nevertheless, very good news.
