Gun talk in school not cool?
Wednesday, Fox News carried this article, "Professor Takes Heat for Calling Cops on Student Who Discussed Guns in Class".
To my way of thinking, this is more than the slightest bit overreaching. Out of all the great minds in the institutions of higher learning, their best card is to call the police? Should we be plotting a trend? The title of the article misleads, as the only one seemingly taking heat is the student. If open discussion of terrorism, war and abortion is acceptable, as far as topics of taking human life, then why not talk guns on campus? The message sent here seems to be that a dialogue in support of preservation of life by superior firepower will be treated as criminal.

Re: Gun talk in school not cool?
As Paradigm mentioned, there is another 8-page thread already dedicated to this at http://forum.pafoa.org/news-123/5022...sentation.html.
As for your comment, I disagree. The article that you linked to was, infact, scrutinizing the prof's decision to call the cops, not the fact that the student gave a presentation about guns.- I support Israel; "If guns kill people my pencil causes bad spelling."
