    Default My new M1s

I usually don't post in here, but I'm particularly excited about these two that I went to pick up this weekend at Camp Perry with my uncle (thanks to him for helping!)

Not bad. How much did that carbine cost you? I want to get one just like the one my grandma used to have. (I'm not kidding, grandma had an M1 carbine until a few years ago lol)

    Gorgeous!
I'm waiting for my M1 in the mail... I have one of each like you now, but I want a spare/back up for the big daddy.

I have my rifle. Do you?

The carbine was $575 (Service Grade).

I also have an SA on order Hopefully it's as cherry as these are, but I am not expecting it being a grade lower than these are.

Damn. Cheapest ones I have found were at Cabela's website. Most were around $800 in decent shape.

What manufacturer were there at Cabela's? IBM made 346,000 roughly of the 6.25 million produced. I thought it was cool to have one made by IBM.

Inland mostly. But there were a couple other ones. They actually have quite a few of them listed on the site but they are from Cabela's stores all over the country.

I heard the company Auto-Ordinance was making new M1 Carbines. They are called something different, I believe the AOM160. They have black synthetic stocks, and the price was around 800.

When you go to camp perry I know they have a lot of requirements for first time buyers. Can you tell me what they are and are the workers there friendly and helpful or not? I was thinking about making a trip. If I buy them in Ohio can I legally transport them in my car to PA?
