Glock sights questions.
Alright I've been curious. I have a Glock 19 with fixed sights, if at any point is it possible to add night sights? Or fixed means they are there to stay?
Also when I am carrying while I drive, I re-position my holster so there isn't pressure on my back from sitting...I tend to bump the sights on the back will it knock them out of whack?

Re: Glock sights questions.
"Fixed" just means that they are not adjustable for windage/elevation.

Re: Glock sights questions.
Unfortunately holsters can wear those plastic ones off.
I just switched out my gen 4 22's for Trijicon's the other day at work. Luckily we have the tooling there. It took about 20min. Mostly to perfect alignment and make sure I didn't use too much lock tite.
The night sights are actually mostly useful at dawn and dusk. Plus in the dark it helps you to locate a handgun on a bedside table.

Cool thanks for the replies! I was pricing some night sights online and it had me wondering.
Plus I take notice that in low light I can't really take notice to the front sight, so night sights would be a great add-on sometime in the future!

Re: Glock sights questions.
You can send it to Glock and have night sights installed plus they will go over the whole gun and magazine and replace anything that needs it.
Did it with mine and they replaced the recoil spring, spring cups, slide stop lever, firing pin safety, firing pin, trigger bar, trigger spring, slide lock, follower, magazine spring.and floor plate.
Sights were less than $100 including shipping and insurance one way. Every thing else was free. If you're interested call them at 770-432-1202

Re: Glock sights questions.
And steel night sites can also help in gun retention.
If you are unlucky enough to have someone grab your gun near the muzzle, a quick twist of the gun could cause that steel front site to cut into the grabbers skin."Having a gun and thinking you are armed is like having a piano and thinking you are a musician" Col. Jeff Cooper (U.S.M.C. Ret.)

Re: Glock sights questions.
putting night sights on a glock is easy.
if you happen to have a sight pusher, it is *really* easy.
otherwise, you just need to rig up a vice to work as the sight pusher. not difficult. takes about 10 minutes to do.
i really like my meprolights with yellow rears/green fronts.
every now and then i am tempted to move away from the 3 dot system to a 2 dot system (or big dots or something like that), though. but, so far, i have just stuck with the 3 dots and like them.F*S=k
