Re: QuestionMagazineSize
Most doorways are 80" high. A longer mag than that would have to be angled in.
Legally, high cap mags (much like NFA weapons) are one factor among several that a DA will evaluate when looking at your claim that you weren't expecting any trouble. An AR pistol with a BetaMag hanging from a DeSantis custom rig under your arm will raise doubts about your dog walking story.

Re: QuestionMagazineSize
I never quote the Philanderer in Chief. An 11 round mag is not a high cap in any sense.
But if you can cram most of a box of ammo into your gun, maybe it's a high cap mag. It's going to be relevant to a DA if it's so large that it looks out of place in the weapon, so a 33 round Glock mag will raise eyebrows.
That being said, if it wasn't a close call, if you shot a trio of robbers as they were herding all the customers into the back at gunpoint for likely execution, then who cares what the DA thinks. If it CLEARLY was an unprovoked lethal attack on you, without any option for you to retreat, then your choice of weapon is irrelevant. But since we can't choose the circumstances that criminals will impose on us, maybe your personal defensive use of your firearm will be subject to more spin and interpretation.
