One of my favorite things about this time of year is the Lenten Fish Fry's. Gonna have a big fish sammich and some halushki for dinner. mmmmmm....halushki.

I'm going to be trying sardines for the first time this evening. Gotta pick up some yummy crackers on the way home. What else goes well with sardines other than pizza?

I've never had halushki, but I've seen. I prefer halupki. Though I may not have spelled it right.

Well, its slovakian. However, I'm sure other countries in the western european region have similar stuff. Small countries so the lines get blurred.

There are variations I'm sure. There's actually a cheese version that's basically like Max & Cheese only with halushki dumplings and potatoes.

Go find a nice catholic church somewhere in a slovak neighborhood and they'll hook you up.
