RUGER LCP ammo guestion

Well I am so happy!!!! My wait for the LCP ended today as I found a store with 5 in stock well now 4. My question is After I bought it, I went to the range and I found it would not feed winchester 85 gr. silvertip HP well. I had a lot of FTF's. What is everyone running in this gun? I will not carry this until I get something to run in it with out any hickups! Thanx in advance for the advice....Joe

FTD? Other than a florist, what is that? Mine has been a big disappointment so far. I finally got it back from Ruger, and will see if it functions properly now, as in this weekend. I'll let you know.

I hope you resolve this. I'm sure you'll try a few diffeent brands of ammo.

One other thing to consider is limp wristing...especially if you've never fired a polymer framed handgun and a very small one at that.
I have an LCP on order. Before I ordered it, I asked if there had been many complaints in general. So far, all positive comments. Of course, of the 30some LCP's they've sold, some may not have been fired yet.

Mine used to eat any kind of practice ammo, but since i got it back from Ruger it has become a very picky eater...like nothing, it all jams up in it now.

Thanx all for the posts..... I will go to the gun shop on monday or tuesday and try some of your sugestions. The 1st shot I took with this gun failed to feed!! Not a great way to start out. I hope with a little time at the range and some diffrent ammo it will be ok. Thanx again, Joe
P.S.
For all of you waiting to buy this gun, I will put my 2 cents in:
1) Love the size and you do not know it is in your pocket.
2) The trigger pull goes on forever b-4 it goes bang, but smoooooth.
3) I find it odd you have to push the mag release to insert mag in it.

I would give it 2 thumbs up once I find the right ammo for it.

i had a failure to feed problem in my p3at, found it was due to a lack of proper amount of lube, and limp wristing a tiny lil gun in my large hands.
