anyone shoot British Radway Green 7.62x51 NATO surplus yet?
Found this interesting ammo on aim surplus recently, and ordered a crate of it. It's a bit on the high side in regards to cents per round, but the packaging makes it worth it, in my opinion. Anyone else ever get their hands on this stuff before? How does it shoot?
Any mission, any conditions, any foe at any range.
Twice the mayhem, triple the force.
Ten times the action, total hardcore.

I've shot it through my FAL before, it's good ammo.
I still have a little left from the days when it was affordable.
That price is outrageous, but they'll sell it all quickly."Having a gun and thinking you are armed is like having a piano and thinking you are a musician" Col. Jeff Cooper (U.S.M.C. Ret.)

Word is that its very good if it has the NATO cross stamp on each round., which looks like it does.
Damn. Just looked my notes. My last .308 buy from AIM was in July 2006 and was .196 per round delivered for some South African

Haven't seen any Radway Green in a long time myself.
Was pretty plentiful and cheap a few years back....then again I was buying 200 round battle packs of portugese ammo for $35 back then also.
Good ammo, my FAL's always liked it."Disperse you Rebels! Damn you! Throw down your Arms and Disperse!" British Major Pitcairn at Lexington April 19, 1775

I shot it out of my L1A1, were not impressed, i had to to close down my Gas valve to get it to cycle the action, dont really care for it.
The accuracy werent that great either.

Radway Green 7.62x51 NATO is excellent ammo! I have used it in my M1A and ww2 rifles. I bought a case in the 80's and am still using it in an Israeli Mauser and Ishapore SMLE 2A1.

Re: anyone shoot British Radway Green 7.62x51 NATO surplus yet?
I have shot the British Radway green in the M-14 and FAL and it works quite well.It is just as accurate as the FNM West German stuff and your gas cylinder will not be as dirty when you clean your M-14. The Radway does not have a high pressure curve as does surplus 7.62 German MEN ammo which will make my bolt stick when firing it in my SSG-69. I do not like to use the word "best" when talking about ammo ,as everyones rifle is different, but the Radway is certainly very good for Autoloaders and bolt guns.I would love to get some more myself.Semper Fi
