Pics of a Ruger LCP
For those of you who are looking for a compact pistol to carry in your pocket, this is what I carry in my front pocket all the time, a Ruger LCP. The damnest littlest thing is very light and it comes with a carry pouch. I carry this in my pocket just about everywhere I go, sometimes I have to remind myself it's in my pocket before I walk into a restricted area like a post office. It feels just like I'm carrying my wallet or cell phone. And the pouch is a great concealment, someone actually mistaken it as my blood sugar monitor. Just an FYI for anyone looking for a pocket pistol.
Another FYI, the LCP will not feed PowRBall ammo.Last edited by dlclarkii; January 29th, 2009 at 06:56 PM.

That is a nice Ruger you have there. Can I have it ? j/k.
I'm considering getting the same for carry since my P95 is just a tad bulky.
Where did you get yours ? I assume it will feed anything but powrball or did you have feed issues with other types of ammo as well ?

They are a very nice piece indeed Dave. I picked up a second one for the wife. Ours eat the winchester ball w/out issues. Might wanna try that.

Nice LCP. I've used Federal American Eagle FMJ, Winchester White box TMJ's, and Blazer FMJ Alum. cased...not a hiccup with any of them yet. I have the most of the Win's Through it, seems to eat them up really good
You'll thank me when no one eats our brains......you'll thank me

Re: Pics of a Ruger LCP
I absolutely love my LCP. If you like carrying it with the Ruger pouch, I'd suggest trying a DeSantis Nemesis. It's a tiny little pocket holster that allows quick draws. I use one and think it's great.

Re: Pics of a Ruger LCP
I lucked out on getting it. I was at Tylers Trading Post in Bigglerville (north of Gettysburg) and a guy traded it in the day before. Brand new, never fired the gun, decieded against it. Still has to go back for the recall so I can't wait for my extra clip.
As far as ammo, I'm using Remington 38s from Walmarts, seems to work fine now. The Powerballs just kept jamming and I know someone else with the same problem. But damn is this gun hard to hold on to when firing it at the range, it's got recoil and there's nothing to hold on to, lol. Also, there are no sights so forget about using it for target practice, it's a close range gun.

Re: Pics of a Ruger LCP
how do you draw it out of your pocket when it is zippered in? Can you undo the zipper in your pocket?
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

Re: Pics of a Ruger LCP
I got one a couple days ago and tried it out yesterday with a variety of .380 ammo without any problem:
1. CCI Blazer JHP
2. Winchester TMJ (I think, they are FMJ, but flat-nosed)
3. Georgia Arms lead reman
4. Remington JHP
5. Aguila FMJ
I REALLY like it. It's VERY accurate and not too difficult to shoot (I have shot/own(ed) few mouse guns: NAA Guardian .380, Beretta Tomcat 3032, Walther PPK/S). The trigger is long, but light (it feels like a 4-5lbs range, please correct me, it's only my impression).
mpett1, I got mine from The Firing Line in Philly for $348 OTD. They had 11 of these remaining when I left the store. If you want one, hurry.
