I know people who have smoked the same brand for years and are switching to cheap-ass cigarettes just because the use the old paper.

The cheap ones aren't FSC's?!? I hate them, I've been smoking winstons for a long time, and they pretty well suck now. I've heard that FSC stands for fire safety cigarette, is there any truth behind this or is it something else?

Some of the off-brands don't use the FSC paper apparently. IDK cuz I don't smoke, but people I know have switched.

Pretty annoying and shitty IMO, but all cigs sold in PA after 1/1/09 have to be FSC so going cheap isn't gonna do much.

Everyone I work with has been complaining about them, but I hadn't experienced it first hand until I bought my first pack of them this past Monday. I now know why they're complaining and I don't like them either.

I live 7 miles from the West Virginia state line, with a cigarette outlet 2 miles in, and West Virginia doesn't have the FSC requirement.

I HATE the FSC cigarettes.

I read about what they do to them, and according to Phillip Morris, there's extra strips of paper in them that they call "speed bumps" that make the cigarette go out if you are not smoking it.

If it were only paper there wouldn't be the difference in taste. Or the coughing fits from them. Maybe you have to be a chain smoker to notice the coughing fits, but I didn't have them before. I don't think it's a coincidence. They have to adding a new chemical they're not telling us about.
