Quick detach 1" rings
Happy New Year!
I am looking for comments regarding quick release 1" rings.
I use ARMS#22 throw lever rings for my 30'' tube scopes and have thought about using 30mm -> 1" inserts with #22 mounts.
I assume the NcStar lever rings are junk.
How about the Warne, Leupold lever rings?
Any advice or experience would be welcome. I would be using the rings with Nikon Monarch 3-9x40 & 2-8x32 scopes, so I don't want to stress the scope bodies with junk rings.
Thanks in advance for your comments.

Re: Quick detach 1" rings
Warne Maxima rings are very rugged and RTZ. Talley are better yet.

Re: Quick detach 1" rings
A folow up question regarding the Warne/Talley design versus the Leupold/ARMS design...
The Warne/Talley look like they require securing the rings on the scope before you can effectively mount the rings to the base.
The Leupold/ARMS both allow the rings to be attacthed to the base and then one can cradle the scope into the open rings for securing the upper loops. This seems like an easier approach to getting both a secure mount and flexibility for final scope body adjustments.
Please comment if I have misunderstood the install procedures of the Warne/Talley mounts.

Not really but it's difficult to describe. You kind of mount the scope and the rings simultaneously.

Re: Quick detach 1" rings
I use the Leupold QRW's on all of my rifles and I love them. Easy on and off with 100% return to zero. Great for leverguns for use with irons. I use them for travel as well. I can take the scope off and put it in a special optics case for better protection and then replace it when I get to my destination. More so for airlines, but a long car ride can move your recticles aswell. -BB
