The Ruger sr40 pistols are one of the few .40 S&W pistols actually over engineered to handle the extra pressures of the .40 S&W cartridge, instead of being just a 9mm platform with a larger hole in the end of the slide and a larger diameter barrel. This sr40c is in excellent condition, has a low round count and is the softest shooting .40 S&W pistol I have ever experienced.
