Take the High Point to the range and shoot it. I have talked with people who said they are better to tie a rope to and swing it at a target and people who say they shoot great. (their definition of great is not the same as mine)

    uh oh.

okay, i'll be the first to chime in. take the Cobra, and weld a chain to it. that's about as useful a weapon as it's gonna be. i owned one, and was glad to be rid of the crap. i'm no gun snob, but i repeat: Cobra is CRAP.

now, to the HiPoint: a lot of people look down their nose at them. they're big, ugly, awkward, and cheap. however i mean cheap as in affordable, not cheap as in garbage. they're better than a rock for self defense, and way better than a Cobra, Jennings, or Jimenez. my brother has two, both in .45ACP; both have gone bang every time. one of them has issues with JHPs, but runs all day with ball ammo. the other, newer model eats anything and everything. they're also pretty accurate.

$99 is a good price. did you get them both for $99? that's a good deal, although i would have paid you to take the Cobra off my hands.

we went to the range tuesday with the skyy and it shot pretty good but the safety would latch about every third round. he called the company and they are sending him almost all new parts (no questions asked) they seem really good on the customer service side...............Ogar

Highpoints, go bang when they are supposed to. They are oversized bulky things, but they work.

The cobra is a piece of crap.

SCCY is a copy of a Kel-tec p-11 with a thumb safety. You would do better getting the Kel-tec. Kel-tec has great Customer Service and are priced about the same as SCCY.

I found both triggers to be terrible to me so the triggers are on a scale to me.. The Glock was a crisper suck and the XD was a more mushy suck. They are in the same family, SR9 (heavy suck), Glock (crisp heavy suck), XD( lighter mushy suck), M&P(heavy mushy suck).
