Amazon Driver Shot Man In Delco Road Rage Incident

CLIFTON HEIGHTS, PA — An Amazon truck driver has been charged with attempted murder and related crimes after authorities in Delaware County said he shot another driver in a road rage incident.

Clifton Heights Police said Anthony Jones, 38, of Philadelphia, is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, firearm crimes, and more in connection with a Sunday afternoon incident.

Police were called at about 12:26 p.m. Sunday to Springfield Road and Oak Avenue for a report of a gunshot victim.

Police found a 58-year-old man on the sidewalk of Oak Avenue suffering from a gunshot wound to his stomach.

The victim told police he was shot by an Amazon driver he was involved in a minor crash with, police said.

This sounds like a situation where amazon is holding their drivers to crazy quotas which causes insane stress on the drivers, combined with loose background checks.

The driver possibly was frustrated that he couldn't reconcile his GPS with actual addresses.

And we have BINGO! Ironically, there was just recently an article in the newspaper about someone who was suing them for just that after one of their trucks hit them in a vehicular accident.
