Mitchell High Standard Riot Gun
Hey
One of the guns my dad left me is a pump shotgun. On the right side of the receiver it*s marked Mitchell High Standard. Underneath just forward of the loading gate is the serial number and underneath the ventilated handguard are some markings I can*t make out. It*s a dark grey/light black finish with parkerized metal. There are also 2 extra shell holders, one on each side of the stock.
I*m looking for a manual for this. It*s my only shotgun and I have never owned one before. I figured if I could get it apart I could make out the rest of the markings under the handguard. It looks to have never been fired but probably needs a light cleaning and lube. Plus I need to familiarize myself with this thing. Then take it out to the range for some fun.
I*m more of a rifle guy but with all that*s going on I should educate myself on this thing. Not a total shotgun newbie though, the wife and I went to the Sporting Clays place by Allentown a few years back and had a blast.
Thanks
Stuart

It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.
