Forget Your ID at the Airport - on the terrorist watch list you go!
Tell you what, its unbelievable what stupidity the government has sunk to lately. Now IF you forget you "papers" at the airport your name might just end up on the terrorist watch list.
I swear to GOD its starting to feel like 1939 Germany around here!

Re: Forget Your ID at the Airport - on the terrorist watch list you go!
First off, had I not seen the same story several places I would have dismissed it. Secondly, with the track record of spying, lying and about everything else you can think of .. BY this administration I don't call this ANYTHING close to fear mongering ........ sorry but if you want to live in a bubble and not see just how dangerous OUR government is at this very moment that's fine but I (like any others I might add) remember history and how things got out of hand by not checking a government at every step of the way.....
What was that saying I saw posted here?
When the Nazis came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.
When they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.
When they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
I was not a trade unionist.
When they came for the Jews,
I remained silent;
I wasn't a Jew.
When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out.
So yes I WILL question this government at EVERY turn, I will refuse to believe they are not capable of something unless they prove otherwise, I will alert anyone that will listen when something smells rotten .... sorry bud, but that's what I consider being a REAL American.

Re: Forget Your ID at the Airport - on the terrorist watch list you go!
There's no fear mongering.
Facts:
1. You are not required to show your ID at the airport to board an airplane.
2. Rather than showing your ID, you have the option of submitting to a 'secondary search'
3. In June, the TSA announced that one could only board a plane without an ID if it was left at home or lost.
4. If you board a plane without an ID or violate security laws (e.g., finger nail clipper, too much liquid, etc.) you get added to the TSA database.
5. Over 16,000 people are in the database, which is accessible to law enforcement agencies.
