Rented a Glock 23 at the range today
It seemed like a nice pistol, Lightweight, Recoil was manageable and being that I have never shot on a regular basis I'm not surprised that my aim sucks.
I am curious though about the trigger. It seemed like a alot of travel with very little pressure, Then I had to increase pressure to actually get a shot off. Not at all like my fathers Colt 1911 or a revolver. Is this normal for glocks? Maybe there is more play in the trigger due to it being a rental, I don't know.

thats because you are comparing a glocks double action trigger to your fathers single action 1911 and revolves 2 completely different animals. its like comparing a sports car to an off road vehicle

So what I felt is normal for a Glock? It's just the type of trigger and not because it has thousands of rounds through it as a rental? Thanks for the link BTW

I agree the round count is probably not the problem. Unless there is something wrong with the lockup of the pistol or barrel is worn completely out.
Without a in person analysis I would say yes, your main accuracy issue is very likely your trigger technique. Just based on prior training stats.
Mastering a double action revolver, DA auto or the glock "safe action" and other striker fired mechanisms can be tricky for someone who is accustomed to SA triggers.
Using the DA or striker action pistol go back to the basics and practice your breathing, take up, and trigger squeeze. Lot's of dry fire and some blank wall (no target) live fire practice (to better concentrate on your trigger technique rather than the target) should help tremendously._________________________________________
