Default Tonight @ 10PM on the History Channel...

There is a show called "The Works" I never heard of it before today. But I saw that tonight its subtitled "Guns and Ammo" and it looks pretty cool. The commercial showed slo-mo video of guns firing and everyday items getting shot. Just a heads up, I'll be watching.

Looks cool. The little box that gives you a breif overview of the show has this statement in it "Urine is a key ingredient in gun powder", maybe thats where they got the phrase "Just shoot the piss out of it", LULZ

Cool show, I wish they had access to one of those crazy modern Gatling style guns that the Mythbusters got to play with. And... was that last gun able to shoot a level 7.5 miles?! or was that its accurate range or?! I was confused.

    Wasn't too bad.

Sucks to live in nevada. Buy a new gun and have to wait 3 days to pick it up. Sucks even worse to be in kalifornia.

    Not a bad show.

What sucks is when a noob is describing things he knows nothing about. I realize he is reading a script but the show had many inaccuracies. But it did have some cool stuff like the new tank cannon they were testing. The fact/myth part about a gun that shoots around corners. He was at APG and didn't even mention the STG 44 with the curved barrel. c'mon! Also about the bullet fired perfectly straight up in the air with no wind is non-lethal while just 1 degree off could be fatal was interesting.

    Not bad overall.

Yeah, there were alot of little things that weren't entirely accurate.

But at least he wasn't trying his best to portray guns as evil like alot of t.v. does.

    Over all not bad.

It didn't get very technical, but I thought it did a good job of explaining everything in lay man's terms and had some cool cinematography in there.

It was entertaining. The high-speed photography was excellent!

I thought it was interesting how the last gun (the monster experimental military artillery) had no rifling for increased gas pressure, and relied on characteristics of the ammunition to generate stability in flight. Maybe that will be coming to a pistol near you in the future...
