What would you do: Going to dinner, road rage and Satan?
Just thought this was bizarre and had to share: http://glocktalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=902831
Saturday was the day before my wife's birthday. To celebrate, my in laws and I decided to take my bride to her favorite restaurant. Only thing is.....It's 155 miles away. No big deal, we decided that would would rent a condo in Banner Elk NC, for the night.
So off from Sevierville, Tn. to Banner Elk, NC. we went.
All was going well until about an hour into the trip. I heard my Mother in law complaining about the driver ahead in the Oldsmobile. He was swerving all over the road and entered our lane. My MIL (mother in law) blew the horn at the offending car, and all hell broke loose.
The driver of the Olds began swerving his car like he was going to hit the side of our Aviator.
My mother tried speeding up, he sped up.
Tried slowing down, he slowed down.
All the while he was cursing and making "slitting throat gestures"
Both my wife and my father in law were on the phone with 911 at this point.
I sat in the seat behind the driver watching the guy intently.
My MIL was scared that she would have a high speed collision with the wacko, and decided to get off the Hwy much to my and my father in laws dismay.
Of course he followed.
It was at this point that I drew my pistol from its holster I kept it low and out of sight, watching the guy come sliding up behind us......
He rear ended us. Not very hard mind you, but still and impact.
Then he threw his car in reverse, and went into on coming lanes of traffic and slammed into the side of out car.
At this point I dropped the window and heard him say he was going to kill us and he was reaching for something behind his seat.
His attention seemed fixed on my MIL and Aimed my weapon at the only part of him I had a clear shot of, his head.
I was just about to shoot, when he looked back at me and saw I was drawing down on him.
He slammed the car in drive and sped off.
We were finally safe.
My wife and FIL were still on the phone with 911, and relayed to them what had happened.
So what happened to the dirt bag that attacked us.
Well after seeing me about to shoot him, he fled. Made it about 3 miles before crashing and leaving the car teetering on a storm drain.
When the officers found he he smelt of alcohol, and they discovered 8 empty beer bottles, and two full ones.
But.... It gets even better.......
They also found 3 different bottles of prescription pills.
But wait, it gets even better......
On the way to take the scumbag to the hospital to get a chemical blood test, he starts speaking in a totally different tone than his voice. Starts speaking in Spanish and German, and some other different languages that the officer has never heard of.
And FTW...... He claimed to be Satan. All of this out of a 23 y/o hillbilly.
After one day in the hospital, they felt they could not contain him, and had him sent to the state mental hospital.
Made for a memorable Birthday weekend for my bride.
Damage to the Aviator....$5500
The good news was after it was all over, we continued on to Zuzda (Awesome Tapas restaurant in Banner Elk.) and had a great time.
Gas for 155 mile drive = $100
Condo for the night in NC = $200
Dinner at favorite restaurant = $300
Damage to car = $5000
Having a firearm when you need it to protect your family = $ Priceless $

"I'm going to kill you", reaches into the back seat, your car pinned in by his....I watch his head explode like the cantaloupe it is. Then maybe the guy could have reported seeing winged creatures flying out of the dead guy's cantaloupe holder....

I second the cantelope head. Obviously he was attempting to harm the people in the car with possible deadly force when he repeatedly rammed them with his car. If it were me, as soon as he rear ended us and pulled along side i would have popped off.

I have heard tell on teh internets that the 45ACP will stop demons ON CONTACT, meaning even a glancing touch of its mythic might will decimate their infernal souls.
