I've been mulling writing this for a while.

We've been discussing the ramification and outcomes about recent encounters between police and those that open carry their handguns.

I've looked everywhere around this site for the following, but could not find it.

The law is the law for now.

But, here's a judge that has much more power and clout to move things in a direction against us.

I completely disagree. He did indeed write a letter to the four State Representatives from Franklin county, as did the County Commissioners. The letter carried no more weight than one written by any other citizen, and in my opinion, received the proper response.

The Representatives drafted and co-signed a response (at least to the Commissioners) stating why they would not offer or support such legislation, and contacted me directly to express their support of my "continued activism".

If we as bearing gun owners have been presenting ourselves and our rights correctly, then the average citizen should realize that carrying to the polls should not be legislated by anyone. As individuals, there is no official statement or oppression occurring as any other individual can carry as well and loitering/harassing is not lawful behavior either.

There may come a day that we all must carry to the polls.

Imagine some gang controlling a few intersections around some polling places, etc. if not a Dickson City styled government.

In Shrewsbury it was an old school, but not a school anymore. They also have town meetings in there and zoning hearings.
