Great customer service from Starret Tools
I bought a "starrett" Mason's level at a garage sale for $1.
It is 48" long, and made of mahogany with aluminum edging. Really a work of art as well as a tool.
Unfortunately, the vials at each end were broken, and the glass for the center vials was cracked.
On a whim, I contacted Starret and asked to get replacements.
Lady called me back, said she would look into it.
Then I get an email about them sending them out. Curiously, they didn't tell me a total price on the parts.
Well, they arrived a couple days ago..FREE.
new glass panes, seals and a complete set of glass vials and all the pieces to install...for free.
WOW. I am speechless. I put it together tonight, waiting for the compound to set til I can install the windows.
Can't wait to finish it.
A good garage sale find compounded by great service!
Thanks, Starrett! MADE IN THE USA!He was one of God’s own prototypes—a high-powered mutant of some kind who was never even considered for mass production. He was too weird to live and too rare to die....
