    Default Cell Phones for Soldiers

I just got a new cell phone and coincidentally received a prepaid, plastic envelope for Cell Phones For Soldiers in the mail. Being the skeptic that I am, I felt it necessary to do some research on the organization.

I've found that this is a legitimate, worthy organization based on these facts:
    1. It's a non-profit organization originally started in 2004 by a 12-year old girl and 13-year old boy in Massachusetts.
    2. It's run in coordination with recellular. They buy the donated phones from the organization whom in-turn uses that money to send phone cards to the troops.
    3. Since its inception, the organization has raised almost $1 million in donations and distributed more than 400,000 prepaid calling cards to soldiers serving overseas.
    4. They provide instructions for wiping data from a large number of cell phone models.
    5. They also accept direct cash donations.
    6. They offer FREE postage labels on their website.
    7. Drop off locations.

They're getting my old cell phone Monday.

They have a listing of places to drop them off, too. Might save them postage.
