    Default Changing times

Handed the "Boss of my life" my Springfield XD sub compact 9mm with the 16 round mag inserted just to let her see how it felt. This is the first time she has actually liked how one of my pistols felt in her hand. Who would have thought? I guess I have a new house gun!

Same with my wife. The Springfield xd sc 9mm is the only gun she wants to shoot at the range anymore.

All these years I've been trying to hand her revolvers and it was a semi auto all along. I've already removed the S&W model 65( loaded with 38 spl +P 158 grain SWCHP's) from the "ready safe" and replaced it with the Springfield. I've always liked to carry that one anyway.

The Significant Other claimed my NEF R73 and my Taurus 851. When I had to sell the Taurus she claimed my 1911. lol

What's up with these women taking our guns nowadays? I take my wife in a gun store, now, and got to give her a bib so she doesn't drool herself......and I have to take the credit card from her. Used to be the other way around. Times are changing.

Years ago I made the same mistake. In 1974, when I was finally able to talk the ball and chain into getting her LTCF. I decided to make a trip to the firing range and have her shoot several different pistols & revolvers too decide what would be her EDC. I opened the safes and told her pick out the firearms she wanted to shoot.

After the range session her choice suprised me; it was my 90% Union Switch model 1911. She shot that "old relic" better than any other of her choices and said it felt the best in her hand, she had no problem with recoil. She still carries that Union Switch to this day and I have bought other 1911's and had her try them, but the Union Switch is still her go to. She did pick out a Delta Elite she likes for her house gun.

Damn, she has good taste in firearms.

If you need any tips on how to yank a credit card from your wife, just let me know.

Somebody's gotta post this, seeing that Streaker hasn't yet:
