    Default Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes Online

Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes for Firearm Owners
    Pennsylvania Uniform Firearms Act

I have no idea what our state's problem is.

We're the second to last state to publish consolidated statutes online. We finally post them, but the only quick and clear way to get to them is to go to the PSP website, who graced us by posting it on their front page (which in itself blew my mind, really). Then the General Assembly removes the posted consolidated statutes, which were available in HTML and PDF formats, and now have a link on their website to "Rules and Regulations (PA Code)", which is <PACode.com>. That site alludes to the state aiding a third party in compiling the laws and currently says it's to-date as of March 15, 2008.

Maybe they decided to move their own statutes off to these guys, fine. Guess what's missing? Title 18, Crimes and Offenses. Great.

Does anyone know what is going on here?

    Post-notes:
I see we have Purdon's online stuff, but it doesn't say when it is last updated. Here is a link to an article so I can remind myself I didn't dream up what was for a short period of time presented by out General Assembly!

And an interesting faq about the (paper-published?) Purdon's statutes:

Default Re: Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes Online

i don't know why they took the statutes down.

    i share your frustration, though.

given how cheap and easy it is to create and maintain websites these days, it is pretty much inexcusable that PA does not have all of our statutes online and up-to-date.
