OC @ Texas Steakhouse in Erie
It was my wifes birthday so we went out to dinner. I had jeans,a purple polo shirt and a jacket. My two sons and wife were dressed nicely also. I took my jacket off and sat at the booth. My firearm SR9 was on my right side towards the isle. About 15 minutes into our appetizers a gentleman manager looking guy came to our table and introduced himself and didn't want to bother us, but he said he noticed the gun. He said he didn't know the laws and asked me if I had a carry lisence for my gun. I told him that, yes I do have a ltcf, but in Pa when you open carry you don't need a ltcf. I asked if he wanted me to cover it up and he said that it didn't bother him and that I was fine like I was. He said he had one customer that had said something to him also. He said that I was ok to keep OCing and to enjoy our dinner. I wish I had the Pamphlet to hand out to him but I left them at home. I hope that the manager will go and educate himself on the gun laws, but he still was very gun friendly

Re: OC @ Texas Steakhouse in Erie
As I always do, I call BS on the manager on this statement. If customers were truly concerned (they never are in my experiences) they would contact the police, not the manager.
I think they figure this is a good excuse to either lecture you or, as in the case of this fellow, have an excuse to question you, which isn't a bad thing He was curious.

In a situation like this, I could actually see someone going to the manager of the restaurant because maybe they don't want to create a big scene by getting the police involved, and they want to leave it up to the manager, but who knows, it's a very real possibility.

That is what my wife and I had mentioned on our way home. I think the manager was the curious type. Next time I will have some literature to hand out. My wife was also going to tell him she had a gun in her purse, but that would have been too much info for him I think

Again my wife and I took my parents for a dinner and we were seated right in the main isleway. No problems at all and enjoyed another wonderful steak dinner. I think they are getting use to me OCing. Thumbs up to this establishment
