    Default Magazine rattles when loaded....

I am relatively new to carrying a pistol fulltime(about a year or so). I have put about 500 rounds through my S&W .40VE and recently switched carry ammo from Corbon to Hydrashok. The thing is, now when my pistol shakes due to moving around, the ammo rattles in the mag. The rattle comes from where the top of the magazine sits in the slide. It is full, 14+1, and I can't figure out why. Any help?

Eject your mag. Smack the back of the mag against the heel of your hand (seating all of the rounds as far back as possible). This should temporarily eliminate the rattle. Works on my SW40V.

Didn't work... I unloaded three of the shells and the rattle decreased dramaticly. I am almost certain this didn't happen when I was loaded with the corbon, could it be the ammo?

I dont know if it ahs anythign to do with ammo, but my glock mags do it alot, only when they are full. It seems that when the spring is fully compressed, the top round sits tip upo, adn soem of the rounds sit paralell with the bottom, leaving the nose of the round loose to rattle.

It happens all the time with my glock mags. Just smack the bottom and back of the magazine until it stops. I had to hit it pretty hard today to get it to stop, enough to hurt my hand.
