Pittsburgh Police and their tasers.
What is this guy, Joe Pesci in Goodfellas?
I'm neither pro or anti cop also not a lawyer but looks like they are going to have to cough up a significant amount of change for this.

Re: Pittsburgh Police and their tasers.
Ah and there is more to the story that, if true, changes the circumstances...looks like the guy fell over.
Detective Rende wrote that Mr. Keyser had glassy eyes and smelled of alcohol, and he asked him to leave. The detective wrote that he warned Mr. Keyser to leave several times and warned Mr. Keyser that if he didn't do so, he'd pull out his Taser and use it. The detective wrote that Mr. Keyser said, "Go ahead."

Re: Pittsburgh Police and their tasers.
Jesus Christ
Detective Rende has a checkered history in the bureau that contains at least a dozen accusations of conduct unbecoming an officer, including verbal abuse and excessive force.
One of the most serious was a 1999 incident in which he returned, after his shift ended, to the home of a female caller in the South Side and engaged in a sex act with her, according to an OMI report.

It appears some anger mangement classes are on the schedule very soon for that police officer.

Re: Pittsburgh Police and their tasers.
With a checkered past and a dozen or so incidents that stretch back to the late 1990's and this POS is still employed by the City of Pittsburgh?? Only in a bureaucratic quagmire that is a modern day police department.
Anger Management classes....my ass! Shove that taser up his ass and send him packing. What a disgrace!
NOTE: It really gets my blood boiling how he is waving that taser around. Whatever happen to basic safety protocol like "only draw your weapon when you intend to use it"? I don't care if he didn't actually tase the guy or not....his actions of waving that thing around and pointing at peoples faces is enough for me to realize this cop is less than worthless.

Re: Pittsburgh Police and their tasers.
Pittsburgh Police are really out of control.
I remember I had an out of control officer named "Scarpine" or something to that effect go nuts on me.
Officer Scarpine has made the news several times for being caught ON VIDEO planting contraband on people who were doing nothing wrong.
Yet he's still on the force.
I wish Pittsburgh PD would do some major house cleaning. But I wont hold my breath."One must be a fox to recognize traps, and a lion to frighten wolves” ~ Machiavelli

Re: Pittsburgh Police and their tasers.
Looks like Ravenstahl is calling for this asshole detective to be fired....
With all the issues with Nate Harper and the rest of the department, they may make short work of this guy and fire him sooner than later.... About damn time....
