Default Gen. McChrystal "AR15s don't belong on our streets"

Perhaps McChrystal should remember what "de opresso liber" means

"I spent a career carrying typically either a M16, and later a M4 carbine," he said. "And a M4 carbine fires a .223 caliber round, which is 5.56 millimeters, at about 3,000 feet per second. When it hits a human body, the effects are devastating. It's designed to do that. That's what our soldiers ought to carry."

Said McChrystal, "I personally don't think there's any need for that kind of weaponry on the streets and particularly around the schools in America. I believe that we've got to take a serious look -- I understand everybody's desire to have whatever they want -- but we have to protect our children and our police and we have to protect our population. And I think we have to take a very mature look at that."
If a .223 is too dangerous a round, then what of the .222 or .243 or heaven forbid a .308 or 30-06. It is clear that his intended audience is not people who understand the guns and cartridges in question, but the fencesitters who do not know any better and can be swayed to support gun control. It just makes me nuts, because it is such clear propaganda and is easily disproved for anyone who wants to spend more than a few minutes looking.

The libs know what they are doing...people who are clueless are going to eat this shit up. "Well obviously if a general says they shouldn't be legal..." Instead we have Alex Jones making us look like a bunch of lunatics in the public's eye. Why aren't more respectable people on the news promoting guns or standing up for us? I was raised shooting guns and now if I tell people what my hobby is they look at me like I am a criminal. I am a well established CPA! I have always obeyed the law and they want to screw me out of my hobby because of some sick lunatic. I am tired if this nonsense. Discipline the part of the population that is causing this not law abiding citizens.

Sorry for the rant but I am tired of this crap.

The real problem is kids getting mentally abused by their peers for wearing walmart brand instead of abercrombie and fitch and other situations of the like. Parents need to leave work a little earlier and teach their kids values.

    They can't leave work earlier.

They have to pay for all the people accepting government handouts.

Ironic I know. Being apart of the military you need to come to terms and understand the goal of such an organization is to kill people that oppose us.

He is a typical POS, most of the "good" military, especially officers bail out early. They can't take the politics on the way up.

Not to many Pattons, Butlers or Pullers these days.

Wow... a military general not wanting the populace able to protect itself. Imagine that. I am sure a lot of generals in this world do not want civilians protecting themselves too. If that were the case, they would not be needed!
