I was aware of that but this seems to be a new technology. "It does not reveal physical body details ... the company says."

Regardless, This could have implications with regard to the No Guns on Private Property issue.

In the right application these could be good. Unfortunately they would want to use them anywhere they could. To me, I think I can expect a certain amount of privacy for what is under my clothing, I would think. Seems like unwarranted searches to me lol.

I think this would be very useful in high traffic areas such as airports, mass transit systems, sensitive buildings....... In places where you are not subject to searches, I would be concerned about it's use, but in areas where you are subject to searches, it may well be the answer to 15 minute waits while you remove your shoes.....

I can't wait till the Paparazzi get a hold of this technology.

Easy fix (for the Brit stuff, not the airport stuff):

Wear a metal mesh shirt. Yay, Faraday!
