    Nice find brian.
When I saw it a few weeks ago Glenn wasn't sure how much he was going to ask for it and said was thinking about selling it on Gunbroker. (He told me what he thought it was worth, but I don't know what he decided on for his asking price). I guess you saw it before he had a chance to list it.
    Timing is everything.

he actually called me about it, probably two weeks ago, maybe three now. i paid $570. higher than the other two by almost $80 bucks, but it was an impulse buy.

Love the M-1 carbine! My grandpa had one of these, so along with his Lee-Enfield "jungle carbine", it was one of the first rifles I ever handled. When I move back to PA I need to pick one up, if only for sentimental value.

Damn, that's inflation for you. My grandpa bought his for less than 50 bucks many moons ago.

Just remember, at that time, your Grandpa probably made $40- $50 a week.
