Default Anyone CC carry in PA/Philly at 18-20 years old?

I forget which state issues to 18yo's
and then you apply for another state that has reciprocity with PA.

I....would not recommend this. Expecting the Philadelphia police to know a chain of reciprocity when they don't even know the laws of their own state is asking for trouble, should you get made.

    Just sayin'.

True, but in Philli the old saying "I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 8" might apply. So as long as its CC, might be worth the risk considering the situation there.

Would you characterize it as "more dangerous" than someone who is over 21 carrying on a non-PA license? The push from Philly to "close the FL loophole" would seem to make it clear that they are aware that other licenses must be recognized, thought obviously, they're not happy about it.

Agreed, there are several laws that Philly (and outside) ignore. Personally, if I was 18, I'd get those permits and CCW

It's strange that Philly is aware of the "FL loophole" but when it comes to actual PA UFA laws regarding the LTCF (so many acronyms!) they seem completely oblivious almost to the point of violent (as Mark can attest).

When it comes to firearms carry in Philadelphia, the grim reality is almost that you should expect to have problems with their police being overzealous, incompetent and uneducated on the laws they're supposed to enforce.

So being 18-21 and carrying concealed with an out-of-state concealed carry permit/license to carry that has reciprocity with PA is just as legal as having a PA LTCF and openly carrying in Philadelphia. I'm not a lawyer, but I believe that's what the UFA says. I could be wrong. Anyway, both of which carry their own liability when it comes to firearms related encounters with the Philadelphia Police Department.

As always, follow the law and do what's legal.
