a friendly discussion
So me and my friend just had this discussion. feel i should share, and see what others think. sorry kinda long read, and could not post any other way that would be short.
in hindsight, i think it would be illigal to make a flashbang without proper liscensing.
little backround, his a buddy of mine, we go to the range when we have time, and we both like guns. though his views are miles away from mine, and, well you decide what his views or personality are.
sorry for the lenght, this was the best way i could post it.
PHP Code:[him]
found specialty flashbang shotgun rounds
[coppery]
make one
just need a ratio of aluminum powder
and some other metal
im sure its online
[him]
i dont need to put myself on the feds radar by buying that shit
when i can fucking legally buy it
common sense
[coppery]
its not illigal to buy metal powder
[him]
i kno its not
[coppery]
you can buy thermite at gun shows
[him]
but its suspicious
i kno dude
[coppery]
not at all
[him]
still suspicious
yes thats something a crazy person would do
such as timothy mcvay
the unibomber
jarod lee
[coppery]
to you, anything that does not seem "normal" is crazy person
[him]
the columbine shooters
no dan
to u its not clear
but to normal people
when someone exhibits a behavior
that was displayed by multiple terrorists or murderering cowards
it is a red flag for potential crazyness
[coppery]
well fuck normal peoople
[him]
no
[coppery]
im different
[him]
fuck crazy people
they are loners, losers, failures and cowards
[coppery]
and proud to say i have a special interst in pyrotecnics
[him]
normal people take down the crazy people
thats normal
[coppery]
never said i was crazy
[him]
most guys do at some point
nor did i
[coppery]
just cause someone buys thermite, or aluminum powder, does not make anything crazy or suspicious
[him]
no it does make it suspicious
u wud make ashitty fed
if someone purchases something that can be used to make explosives
it is suspicious
[coppery]
then everyone at a garden shop, and pharmacy is a terror suspect
[him]
certain people yes
[coppery]
you can make a bomb with common house hold products
no
[him]
particularly to the garden shop
[coppery]
everyone
[him]
lowes especially
no
some people
[coppery]
yes
[him]
because plenty have done that
[coppery]
you can get instructions easily
[him]
yea im aware
[coppery]
i can make one if given a month
[him]
i saw oprah after the unibomber struck
[coppery]
everyone would be a suspect
[him]
i knohow easy
i cud make it in less than a month
iv already got pyrotechnician homies
no the people who buy the explosive substances
are suspects
[coppery]
then that makes you a crazy person by your own logic
[him]
no
[coppery]
why do YU have those type of friends
[him]
by your logic
why do i have friends who went to school for chemistry?
because im social and well known
i have a lot of connections and friends
[coppery]
sure why not
you have a connect that can make a bomb
out of materials not most civilians can get
he can
and then give them to you
[him]
so what i also know peoplewho can make realy good vietnamese food
that doesnt mean thats what imeating
but if i went to the stroe and bought materials for peasant soup
then its fair to suspect me of eating vietnamese
[coppery]
then it does not mean someone buying thermite is suspect
[him]
people buying suspect materials
are suspicious
u can deny it all u like
[coppery]
its not suspicious material
[him]
but ur the nutjob who thinks fully automatic guns shudbe available without a cool down period or 21 year age and registration
i didnt say it was
i dont kno the other uses ofthermite well enough
[coppery]
they shouldent
[him]
but there certaintly are red flags
yea they shud
u just live in the youtube gun world
where nobody does bad things with guns
and everyones a cowboy from their computer
[coppery]
their were not as many gun problems before all this registration, and backround chhecks
[him]
says who
[coppery]
obviously they dont work anyway
[him]
ur saying gun crime rosebecause of gun safety?
thats bullshit
and obviously?
no
[coppery]
we have over 20000 laws on guns in this country
[him]
the cowardly mass murderers of our decade
use the guns they are limited to use
if full autos wer legal
the arizona shooter wudvused em
and the va tech
but they wernt legal
[coppery]
obviously 20000 laws are doing jack shit to prevent crime
[him]
so they didnt
laws worked
u have no idea what ur talking aout
[coppery]
people still died
[him]
ur not a cop
[coppery]
they dont work
[him]
laws arent in place to keep people from dying
they keep some order
if there wasnt a law to keep me from publically executing this one dude
[coppery]
so why put restriction with the label "will save lives"
[him]
i wudv done it
the law worked
case in point
because it "does save lives"
[coppery]
so do you think the "gun free school zone" act works to save lives
[him]
are u serious
[coppery]
obviously crooks dont give two shits about laws
[him]
first of all its drug free zone
gun free zones are a no brainer
no u say that because u dont kno criminal
criminals often have a better understadnign of the laws than civilians
laws actually mean a lot to crooks
[coppery]
doubt it
otherwise columbine
vt
would not happen
[him]
people break laws dan
it happens
the gun laws wer loose
[coppery]
only people that had no guns were law abiding citizens
[him]
so thekids got guns easy
[coppery]
and the teachrs could not stop them, even if they had a ccp, cause of the "gun free" zone (send as a message)
Your chat message wasn't sent because J is offline.
[him]
thats why columbine happened
u take one example and make that to be proof that nobody follows the law? thats like retarded
u arent that dumb
to think that one example ofthe law beingbroken in a certain way dictates how it is followednationwide
[coppery]
and the teachrs could not stop them, even if they had a ccp, cause of the "gun free" zone (
[him]
think about what u just typed
there wer ccp people in the arizona shooting
didnothing
[coppery]
those guys had no clear LoS
[him]
hold on
[coppery]
and one actually did i think
[him]
i just want u to see how irrational ur speaking
besides by ur logic if guns wer completely restricted than vt and columbine wudnt have happened
[coppery]
ya they could have
[him]
seenot ur thinking laterally
[coppery]
obviously it worked for uk when they restricted everything
oh wait
it did not
[him]
when it suits ur belief
[coppery]
gun crime rose 44%
[him]
think about it
gun crime rising 44% may have to do with the restrictions
being broken
haveiear restrictions = more crimes
and show me the stats that prove gun crime rose 44% after the uk banned guns
and a youtube comment on some AR video does not qualify
[coppery]
i never said thats wheir i got it from
they were in the uk papers
look them up
[him]
no back them up
dont say a statistic if its not true
[coppery]
i dont
[him]
gun crime actually dropped 22% in the uk following the 6 months after the new firearm restrictions
[coppery]
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/1440764.stm
[him]
it was 40%
[coppery]
thats not the point(im slightly dislexic) its still whent up a ton (send as a message)
Your chat message wasn't sent because J is offline.
[him]
over the course of TWOYEARS
and explained as i predicted
was that a large portion of the subsequent gun crime
was relatied to the rstrictions on non criminal firearm owners
[coppery]
thats not the point(im slightly dislexic) its still whent up a ton (
[him]
40% in two years
do u kno how much gun crimes have dropped in compton?
[coppery]
1% is too much when you expect a reduction
their was no reduction
shit went up
are you typing or is the thing glitched
[him]
with calis strict dgun laws
that only get tighter?
glitched
and there are plenty of cases of reduction from gun control
and also
the restrictions inthe uk happened not after a bunch of gun crime
but a tragic fucked up event
executed by a crazy person
garden variety coward loner reject
currently roasting in hell
[coppery]
give me your proof of the reduction
[him]
which one
any?
[coppery]
lol
funny
[him]
because there are more than one
[coppery]
and their are more than one incidences weir guns prevent crime
[him]
so?
all that proves isboth work
and obviously guns can stop crime
and obviously easy availability creat crime
[coppery]
if i had it my way, id rather everyone would have a gun
[him]
then more people wud get shot to death
[coppery]
self regulating
[him]
and injured by gun
[coppery]
some jack wad pulls the gun out, everyone around that asshole would smoke his ass
[him]
thats bullshit
[coppery]
not at al
[him]
how wud they kno who to shoot haha
no dude thats the logic of a call of duty player
[coppery]
its common lnowledge
you only take out your gun if you HAVE to
if some guy pulls it out, and tries something his done
[him]
dan ur paranoid ur a great example of someone who cud easily end up fuckingthings up
someone pulls a gun out hes done?
thats nothow crime works
thats how a stupid civilian gets killed
[coppery]
no one that leggaly carries takes out his/her gun just to show it off
they take it out when SHTF
if their life is in peril
or someone elses life
[him]
thats a youtube acronym
ur proving my point constantly
[coppery]
Sit Hits The Fan
[him]
iv seen carriers pull ethem out
[coppery]
stob bitchen
[him]
and yes i kno what itmeans iv been on youtube gun pages before
[coppery]
which carriers
taht one kimber
guy
[him]
oh yea him too!!!!!
thats two guys i kno who have displayed their weapons
maybe someday u will experience the real world and be like
fuck was i thinking
legalise and sell full autos without permits or waiting periods or age limits?
retarded
anti-logic
[coppery]
if they displayed them in their house, car, palce of their owned buisness i dont give two shits, if its in public, they are being irrsponsible of the fact

Re: a friendly discussion
@kimber ya, but when its the same thing all the time, you gotta think, like if your just gonna drag on about it, just stop talkin bout it. personnaly i think his kinda biased to his side without trying to accept what others say, i on the other hand try to look at things from both ways to understand, and give a good argument.
@ricochet ya i think that to myself all the time.

Re: a friendly discussion
FYI, just because the components can be easily purchased, doesn't mean the end product is legal.
If you're building explosive devices that aren't fireworks, and don't have a BATF license, chances are you're breaking the law.
