    Default guidence needed

ok, i need some help from you guys. i would like to buy a nice long range "sniper" setup. i want it to be able to shoot out to like 500-800 yards. bolt action. hi powered scope, with finger adjustments. accurate. soda can at 500 yards type of deal. i wont be buying this all at one time, i want to spread it out so im not spending one big lump sum.

what im tying to do is have a rifle that i can reload custom shots for, keep a journal of my shots, so i can basically go to the range, read my note, know where i need to sight it in to, and be accurate with it.

Where do you expect to be able to find a range that goes out to 800 yds in SE PA?

New Holland RPC goes out to 600yds...we're thinking about taking it out to 1,000 since we have the room.

    Can't go wrong with a Remington 700 in a .308 chambering IMHO.

The rates should be on the website, but the membership is currently $40 per year with unlimited guest privileges.

    Good luck!

Oh baby! I would love to get my hands on a Barrett .50- unfortunately my RPC won't allow you to shoot .50 due to the proximity to homes, etc.

Plus they're expensive....definitely out of my price range....

    I second the Remington 700 in a .308 Winchester.
